Claire Kovach is a senior research analyst who joined Keystone Research Center in 2020. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Pennsylvania State University, where her research centered on poverty, stratification, multidimensional hardship experience, and statistical research methods. Before joining KRC, she interned with The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in Washington, D.C., where she worked on data-driven poverty and immigration policy topics. She is passionate about doing work that aims to alleviate hardship experience and expose how expensive it is to be poor.
A native of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, Claire lives in State College with her husband.
