Senate Economic Stimulus Package: The Wrong Solution for Pennsylvania’s Economy


This Reports and Briefing Papers considers whether proposed tax changes would achieve the outcome that their sponsors put forward. In sum, the Senate stimulus plan is unlikely to do much to stimulate Pennsylvania’s economy and could do more harm than good. The plan capitalizes on the idea that the government should jump start the economy but does so with a series of business tax cuts that have been shown at the federal level to be of little impact on the economy.
