PA Regions Rank High in Study of Upward Mobility

A study by a team of top national economists finds that Pennsylvania has enjoyed substantially more upward mobility than many other parts of the United States. Pittsburgh ranks near the top of the pack within the group of the 30 largest regions, and many less populous parts of the commonwealth fare as well or better. This Reports and Briefing Papers summarizes the results of this research study and the implications it has for Pennsylvania.
