EVENT POSTPONED! Sunday’s Tax the Ultra-Rich Now Fest is postponed due to the extreme heat warning. Stay tuned for updates!
July 24, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Imagine the world you want to live in.
Is it a world where everyone in our country, state, and towns can thrive—no matter what they look like, whether they’re poor or rich, whether they live in a city, suburb or rural community, or whether they were born here or not?
Is it a world where everyone has an opportunity to get the education and training they need to use their talents to benefit themselves and everyone else? Is it a world where everyone is protected from economic or health care problems?
That’s the world the vast majority of us want. And it’s a world we have the resources to create if we ask everyone, including the billionaires and their wealthy corporations, to pay what they owe.
Our tax laws have let the ultra-rich avoid that obligation for too long. Income and wealth inequality keeps growing as the ultra-rich, corporate elite pay less and less in taxes than everyday working people like nurses and firefighters. Under-taxed billionaires are starving our communities of the resources we need.
On Sunday, July 24, the Pennsylvania Budget & Policy Center is hosting a “Tax the Ultra-Rich Now!” fest featuring elected officials and community leaders; an appearance by “Mr. Rigs,” corporate fat cat; giveaways; and entertainment.
Bring your friends and allies! There will be space for organizations and allies to set up tables to recruit supporters and share informational materials.
Together, we’ll raise our voices and demand that our elected leaders tax the ultra-rich now!
